View of pathway towards Plas Newydd

Plas Newydd is home to the Marquess of Anglesey. This image shows the pathway down to the house with woodlands on the right. The house and gardens are currently owned by the National Trust, and both are open to the public from March to December. The house offers views out over the Menai Strait and the Snowdonia mountain range.

Directions: Plas Newydd is located on the A4080 around two miles from the village of Llanfairpwll.

Steps on the Wylfa Nature Trail

On Anglesey's north coast is an area called Wylfa, home to a Nuclear Power Station. There is a visitors' centre and nature trail, part of which is shown on the left. Fact sheets on the Nature Trail are normally available from the visitors' centre. Wylfa began producing electricity in 1971 and is currently expected to continue to 2010. The power station is currently the largest employer on the island.

Directions: If heading to Wylfa from the bridges, follow the A5025 signed Benllech. Remain on the A5025; shortly after the Cemaes Bay roundabout, there will be a right turn. Keep an eye out for the brown visitors' centre signs.
